Is there any way to turn a website into a mac app, but without using any of the websites core files?
I don't want to use an app like fluid. (which just uses a plugin that puts the website files into an app) I want to make make my own app, with a customizable UI, that recreates the website, but makes it editable?
A website is essentially an app, it's just that the UI is built from HTML rendered by a browser. So there's a way: just recreate what the website does, but without a headless browser wrapped by an app (i.e. Fluid) but the usual way, i.e. Create layouts of buttons and forms and text and whatnot.
So there are two main issues here:
1. 'without the website core files': You will definitely have to elaborate on that.
2. Asking this question makes me think that you ve never built an app before and don't have a good idea of how websites work when it comes to frontend vs. Backend and the like. Which means is kind of pointless to answer you because you are not ready to do it, by far.
Yes.
